Thursday, March 4th—
Finished up the first part of the semester with my Contemporary Irish Society final. It was pretty simple, finished first, which is always semi embarassing. Headed back to the room to make sure I had all of my things for the week. At 2 we had a meeting with Mark O’Brien, who is the academic director for the internship program. He basically told us about the...
Week Seven
The last weekend of February was a very relaxing and lazy one for me. Amy and Amanda were out of the country on amazing trips and I was still here, and not really willing to go out or pay any money whatsoever.
Friday I finally figured out how to watch movies on youtbue—big milestone in my life. So I watched The Wind that Shakes the Barley and Michael Collins—both RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING,...
Week Six
On February 19th, Amy and I headed to Killarney, Co Kerry, for a relaxing weekend in nature. Because there is no direct route from Dublin to Killarney, we had to take a four hour bus to Limerick City, then a 2 hour bus from there to Killarney. But that was fine with me, as we had an hour to kill in Limerick and I got to see my namesake, the Shannon River! Turns out it was kind of grimy in...
Week Five
Week five brings us to February 11th—the night of Simon Says.
Thursday, as said in week four, we had a lecture about the GAA (which was awesome). After this, Amy, Amanda, Amanda’s friend Alex and I went out for what ended up being a really fun night.
This was an Eastern European themed night from the beginning. We attempted Pravda, but it was closed at 11:30. Not okay, Russians...

Week Four
Picking up on week four (February 5th ish), our weekend trip to Northern Ireland (NI).
We had a weeks worth of lectures in History about the History of NI and the Troubles, so we were pretty prepared for what was in store. The weekend trip was organized by our history teacher, Caroline, and all 40 of us went, plus 12 kids from the UCD program.
We left early friday morning and arrived in Belfast...
Week Three
So week three was pretty laid back. Most of the group was away for the weekend to Galway and my friend Amanda was in London. So that left just Amy and I for the weekend. Her friends, Elizabeth and Lynn, were in town from London, so we all went our friday night. Of course we hit up Doyle’s, which did not fail us musically. Also there were about a million college guys there, which was great....
Week TWO
Somewhere during the first week Amy, Amanda and I decided to become travelling buddies. Which is awesome because I do not want to be travelling alone or with people I don’t really like. Since Amanda was going to London the weekend of January 29th when our group had an optional trip to Galway, the three of us decided to go the first real weekend, January 22-24.
The thursday before, I stayed...
Week One
I never thought the last place I would see in America for four months would be New Jersey. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened.
My flight left Newark at 6:50 (if I remember correctly) on January 13th. This meant a relatively early morning and a 3.5 hour drive to the worst place in the world, in my opinion. It wasn’t too bad though—we got there in plenty of time.
I’ve...
Ireland
I think since I never remember much I need to start writing down my adventures in Ireland. This is where tumblr comes in YAY. I’m going to go back and make a post for every week so far, I think that’s my best bet. Hopefully I can keep up with this!

best day of my life (so far)
Today I met Taking Back Sunday, my favorite band since I cared enough about music to HAVE a favorite band. It was absolutely amazing. They did a listening party and meet and greet type thing at the Whitehorse Tavern in Allston, MA. It was at noon, on a thursday, in Allston, at a bar. So there was only like 15 people there, making it super awkward but also wicked awesome. I almost had to go by...

I am so nervous about the future.
I’m doubting my choice of public relations so much, hopefully it was/will be the right thing for me. I’m just nervous because I don’t LOVE people, like most of the other people in the field, but I do love writing and planning, so we will see.
I’ve been obsessed with looking for internships, even though I haven’t applied to any...

So I made a twitter now too, but really, I’m never even going to use these things, probably, so it’s pretty pointless.
Celtics game last night was amazinggg. Too bad the ref’s were terrible.
Sox season coming up! I’m excited, especially since it’s been SO DEAD at uno’s and now there will actually be stuff to do, NEW UNIFORMS, ’80s jams (my favorite...

The Boston Bandwagon
I was just thinking about the Celitcs and how many people jumped on the bandwagon last year when they finally were good again. Unfortunately, I happen to (sort of) be one of these people. I used to loathe the NBA. Really. I had no respect for it, I didn’t even consider it real basketball; I never real gave it a chance. Now don’t misunderstand, I am NOT a typical bandwagoner. I know the...

This is the best website. Most of the things are hilarious, but some of them are really sad too. I check this website several times a day and I’m pretty much addicted, although I’ve never posted anything myself.

So I’ve been thinking about getting a blog for a while, and I’ve finally decided to do it, so this is exciting. Now that I have it, I don’t really have TOO much to say at the moment…
I’ve been trying to find internships for the summer in public relations, but it isn’t looking too good so far. I don’t really feel like I’ve got that much experience,...
